"Today we celebrate the first, glorious anniversary of the Information Purification Directives. We have created, for the first time in all history, a garden of pure ideology, where each worker may bloom secure from the pests purveying contradictory thoughts. Our Unification of Thoughts is more powerful a weapon than any fleet or army on Earth! We are one people, with one will, one resolve, one cause. Our enemies shall talk themselves to death. And we will bury them with their own confusion. We shall prevail!"

 ............................................

We should all remember that when Bush went to Congress for their blessing for his war (which was strongly lobbied for by Israel, by the way), his original request was to have the power to use force as he deemed necessary throughout the Middle East.

And let us not forget either that the Pentagon was ordered to draw up plans for a sequential invasion of a number of Arab (and one Persian) nations.  Stated Wesley Clark:

Several months later, after the United States had begun its war in Afghanistan, Clark asked if the Iraq invasion was still the plan. He said his military contacts told him, "`Oh sir, it's worse than that. This is the memo that outlines a five-year campaign plan: Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and we're going to end up in Iran.'"

Yeah, this has been planned for some time between Israel and the Bush Administration... all they needed was the flimsiest of excuses.  Bush uses the United States as a puppet for his egomaniacal designs; he's a traitor of the highest sort.

You are watching history reminiscent of Nazi Germany unfold before your eyes.  Take notes... your grandchildren will be asking you how it could have happened in their nation....

Mid-East Conflict, Abramoff, Cheney, Netanyahu...........The connection

Tue Jul 25, 2006 at 10:26:21 PM PDT

Cross posted @ CatfishAndGrits and MySpace

We have seen tons of diaries here at Kosania, expressing the dreams and nightmares on both sides of the aisle in this conflict. Their is also alot of overlapping too. Not all Israelis support Israel's move into Lebanon, and not all Lebanese support Hezbolla. In my opinion, Hezebolla was wrong for capturing those 2 Israeli soilders, however, Israel was wrong in it's overwhelming response just to rescue those 2 soldiers. Meanwhile, while we are all preoccupied, Darth Cheney has had a liason in Israel working with Benjamin "Bibi" Netanyahu and the neo-con Likud party, which "Bibi" is the head of, to regain their powerr in the Israeli parliament. Mind you, the Israeli people voted the ultra right-wing Likud party out, that's how Sharon became the head honcho.

But first some background leading us to this point.....

As with anything corrupt (and republican), the general motto is FOLLOW THE MONEY!!!

We will need to go all the way back to 1996 and visit David Wurmser, Cheney's Middle East adviser, that pillar of virtue, and integrity (NOT....he [Wurmser] was one of the main people pushing us into the war of Iraq, albeit he's not a public figure). Alot of us know about [ PNAC (Project for New American Cetury) ] and their declaration that America should obtain peace througout the world via American military might. But some of you may not have heard of a [ document ] called "A Clean Break: A New Strategy for Securing the Realm", which Wurmser authored. This is Israel's equivalent to our ridiculous PNAC document. The document talks about how Israel can make a "clean break" from the way of diplomacy in the the Middle-East, and establish itself as a militarized world power in the region. The document talks about how to "pull" America in to support Israel's decisions -- no matter if they are in the interest of America. It expounds the notion of claiming self defense while "palenstinian profiling" -- essentially akin to racial profiling (ie. "you fit the description" tactic). Even striking Lebanon, Syria, and eventually Iran is in this document...

"...[If and When] Syria challenges Israel on Lebanese soil. An effective approach, and one with which American can sympathize, would be if Israel seized the strategic initiative along its northern borders by engaging Hizballah, Syria, and Iran, as the principal agents of aggression in Lebanon..."
(bold highlights, and underlining are from me)

And as recently as 2000, Wurmser helped write a strategy document published by Daniel Pipe's Middle East Forum and Ziad Abdelnour's U.S. Committee for a Free Lebanon that advocated a wider U.S. role in Lebanon. It criticized the United States for engaging rather than confronting the regime. Some co-signers of the document were Elliott Abrams, Douglas Feith, Michael Rubin, and Under Secretary of State for Global Affairs Paula Dobriansky, Richard Perle (pushed the false "story" that an Iraq representative met with a member of al-Qaeda thus proving their was a connection between Iraq, and al-Qaeda), Jeane Kirkpatrick, Michael Ledeen (responsible for the forged Niger documents claiming that Iraq had purchased yellow cake uranium from Niger, which was disproven by Joe Wilson and by 2 separate visits by 2 different people previous to Joe's visit), and Frank Gaffney.

We have had reports, in the news today, about Syria saying it will not tolerate a prolong conflict in Lebanon. Syria wishes a cease-fire before this escalates to a war.

......tooooooo late!!!

Now, how does money fit into this. Well, all this is going to require money, and other resources. Money, and resources, that Israel could never generate on its own. And this gathering of resources needs to be done as quietly as possible as not arouse suspicion. In walks the American proxy -- Jack Abramoff.

Jack Abramoff is more important than you can ever imagine. He is the monetary foundation of the neoconservative movement (some say it was Grover Norquist, but he's more of a meter-maid directing donors money to these fake Abramoff created charities). Bob Ney, Tom Delay, Conrad Burns, and others were the congressional connection (polistitutes, if you will) needed to broker foreign deals with Israel. And the one pushing the "clean break" agenda now -- Dick Cheney. Cheney is doing everything possible to facilitate "regime change " in Israel. Netanyahu wants to be prime minister again and Jack Abramoff was the key to getting money from the US to Israel. As matter of fact Netanyahu is so close to Abramoff, that if Abromoff talks it will have repercussions not just here but in Israel as well. Abramoff plea deal threatens to bring down the international web of money-laundering fronts, tax-exempt charities, and no-bid contractors put together by Abramoff.

The first time we here of this connection between Netanyahu and Abramoff was in Newsweek when...

Michael Isikoff revealed on May 2, 2005 that one of Abramoff's tax-exempt charities, Capital Athletic Foundation, had funnelled $140,000 to a West Bank settlement, to finance the purchasing of security equipment, including camouflage suits, sniper scopes, night-vision binoculars, a thermal imager, and other material.

And where did the original money going to CAF come from............Indian Tribes. The same indian tribes Abramoff lied to, and stole money from (remember Ralph Reed and Choctaw indian tribe). However, CAF was not the only entity involved in this. Foxcom, an Israeli telecom startup company, contributed $50,000.

Foxcom received a $3-million contract to install wireless antenna systems at the U.S. Congress, in a deal pushed through by Abramoff crony Rep. Bob Ney (R-Ohio), chairman of the House Administration Committee. The Washington Post revealed on Oct. 18, 2005 that Foxcom had paid Abramoff $280,000 in lobbying fees around the time they got the Congressional contract.

And as a side note:

An American company, LGC Wireless, which had lost the bid to Foxcom, went to the FBI and charged that the bidding process had been rigged by Ney.

And people wonder why Cheney is seen as the dangerous. He's interferring in the elections of a foreign country. The republican party would shit all over themselves if Gore was working with Chavez, or if Putin was laundering money to American charities, or PACs that supported Socialism and/or electing candidates that are socialist.

There is a reason why people feel this an attempt to start wars with Iran and Syria, by proxy. And that this current Middle East Crisis was giving the green light from America because this is an election year. The old Iraq boogey man is no longer working, so a new boogey man is needed. Be prepared to here the right-wing centrifuge spin out phrases like "...Iraq was never the goal...it was Iran...", or "...are you anti-Semitic?" just because you don't blindly support every action of Israel

Is Israel running out of Bombs?       The Replenishing of Israeli WMD stockpiles points to escalation both within and beyond the borders of Lebanon

by Michel Chossudovsky
      July 22, 2006
      GlobalResearch.ca

"War is Good for Business": More Contracts for America's Weapons Producers

The aerial attacks on Lebanon have contributed to fuellng the US military
industrial complex in what essentially constitutes a "profit driven war".

The Israeli air force confirms that it has led 3000 sorties hitting some
1,800 targets since the beginning of the bombing campaign (BBC, 22, July 2006). According to UN sources, close to a million people have been displaced out of a total population of 3.8 million. The country's civilian infrastructure has been
destroyed.

In  contrast to the "shock and awe" March 2003 blitzkrieg over Iraq, the
Israelis have aimed systematically and almost exclusively civilian targets.
Moreover, Lebanon is defenseless. It does not possess an air defense system and
the Israelis know it. The number of declared targets is staggering, even when
compared, for instance, to the 300 selected strategic targets identified in the
1991 Gulf war.

The civilian infrastructure has been destroyed: water, telecommunications,
bridges, airports, gas stations, power plants, dairy factories, etc. Confirmed
by the British press, in towns and villages across Lebanon, schools and
hospitals have been targetted with meticulous accuracy. in an utterly twised
logic, the Israeli government has casually blamed Hizbollah for using the
schools and hospitals as hideouts or launchpads to wage their terrorist
activities. (ABC Australia, interview with Israeli Ambassador to Australia, Nati
Tamir, 21 July 2006).

"This is not a war, this is a crisis"

To state that the war was triggered by the capture of two Israeli soldiers
by Hizbollah militants on July 12th is absurd.

The history of war and military planning is not an object of analysis by
the Western media. The real causes and consequences of what continues to be
described by the Western media as the "Lebanon crisis" remain unheralded.
Civilian deaths are dismissed as inevitable. The humanitarian crisis is downplayed. The issue of Israeli sponsored war crimes is never mentioned. And
the Israelis are now blocking the flow of humanitarian aid into Lebanon.

Realities are turned upside town. The level of media disinformation and
coverup of what is actually happening in the war theater is staggering.       A military operation of this magnitude takes months to prepare. The decision to bomb Lebanon was taken well before July 12. The war on Lebanon is part of a broader Middle East military agenda which has been in the planning
stage for more than a year.

In very concrete terms, the bombing raids consist in destroying a nation,
in "wiping Lebanon off the map", to use a familiar expression, in a righteous
act of "self-defense" by Israel, according to the Western media.

Is Israel running out of bombs?

To meet shortfalls in current stockpiles of WMD, Israel's IDF is to take
delivery of an emergency shipment of precision guided bombs, including US made GBU-28 bunker buster bombs produced by Raytheon.

"Pentagon and military officials declined to describe in detail the size and contents of the shipment to Israel, and they would not say whether the munitions were being shipped by cargo aircraft or some other means. But an
arms-sale package approved last year provides authority for Israel to purchase
from the United States as many as 100 GBU-28's, which are 5,000-pound
laser-guided bombs intended to destroy concrete bunkers. The package also
provides for selling satellite-guided munitions.

An announcement in 2005 that Israel was eligible to buy the "bunker buster" weapons described the GBU-28 as "a special weapon that was developed for penetrating hardened command centers located deep underground." The document added, "The Israeli Air Force will use these GBU-28's on their F-15 aircraft."" (NYT, 21 July 2006)

This proposed shipment is described by military observers as somewhat
"unusual". Israel already has a large stockpile of precision guided weapons. In
addition to its own stockpiles, the IDF took delivery in 2005 of some 5000 US
made "smart air launched weapons" including some 500 'bunker-buster bombs.

Why would Israel all of sudden need to replenish its stockpile of Weapons
of Mass Destruction, to implement what continues to be described as a punitive
operation directed against Hizbollah?

While the report suggests that "Israel still had a long list of targets in
Lebanon to strike", the history of these deliveries of bunker buster bombs to
Israel, suggests that they are also intended to be used in the broader Middle
Eastern region.

      Escalation: Syria and Iran

At this particular juncture, the replenishing of Israeli stockpiles of deadly bunker buster bombs points to an escalation of the war both within and beyond the borders of Lebanon.

The air campaign against Lebanon is inextricably related to US-Israeli strategic objectives in the broader Middle East including Syria and Iran. In recent developments, Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice has stated that the main purpose of her mission to the Middle East is not to push for a ceasefire in Lebanon, but rather to isolate Syria and Iran. (Daily Telegraph, 22 July 2006)

A ground war has already started in Southern Lebanon. Aerial targets in
Syria are also contemplated. Syria's capital Damascus is less than 50 kilometers
from Lebanon's Bekaa valley, which has been the object of an extensive bombing campaign.

Moreover, it is worth recalling that the first shipment of US made bunker
buster bombs in 2005 was delivered to Israel, in the eventuality of a US-Israeli
attack on Iran's nuclear facilities.

"The Israeli target for the GBU-28 is no secret. For months Israeli
intelligence, political and policy operatives in the US have been presenting a
case that Iran is secretly developing nuclear weapons that threaten Tel Aviv and
other Israeli population centers"

http://www.irmep.org/GBU.htm

The plan for such an attack on Iran entered  "the advanced stage of readiness" in mid 2005. The Iran operation is still on the US-Israeli military
agenda, in partnership with Turkey and NATO.

Moreover, a new draft resolution concerning Tehran's alleged nuclear weapons program, slated to be submitted to the UN Security Council, suggests
that military action against Iran is being considered at the highest levls of the military command structure.

Under this plan, the Israeli Air Force would attack Iran's nuclear
facility at Bushehr using both US and Israeli produced bunker buster bombs. Bear in mind that the bunker buster bombs can also be used to deliver tactical
nuclear bombs. The B61-11 is the "nuclear version" of the "conventional" BLU
113. It can be delivered in much same way as the conventional bunker buster bomb.

xymphora.blogspot.com (excerpts)where there is a considered response that accounts for much of our knowledge and conscience:

The local people where I live have been extremely quite about recent events unfurling in the middle East.

Having question many people, I personally know, have admitted, that it is not a lessening of interest concerning the Anglo-American and Israeli push for Ersatz Israel and its war on Muslims, but the monster we have created and allowed to manufacture the environment in which to control so many aspects of their personal lives and decision making domestically and internationally without our consent. They are quietly wakening up to the scale and pervasiveness of the problem.

It's the realization of the deep corruption and occupation of the US government by Zionist that has them stymied. Its a kind of shell shock. So people have withdrawn from political activities to try to put things in perspective and weigh a possible strategy in confronting the beast as "tradition" means no longer apply.

The question they are pondering is how to first deal with it domestically. With fixed elections, a teetering economy and de facto police state, the voices of decent have become silent while trying to figure out how to undo the historical factors that have allowed this to happen. Many are realizing that the system has always been corrupt and are doing a lot of soul searching as to how to convince others of the origin, extent and effects of this ideological war on the US public. They no longer believe that we're the "good guy's".

History, for many, has been turned upside down. The general sentiment is that they feel, not necessarily betrayed, but stupid and used.

This could be considered an optmistic
sign, not just locally, but nationally.

Condoleezza Rice has described the plight of Lebanon as a part of the "birth pangs of a new Middle East" and said that Israel should ignore calls for a ceasefire. .
.................................................................................................
I wonder if this has been a plot between the US and Israel all along. For years, Israel wanted the Litani River. They claimed that Lebanon did not really need it, being "well-watered", which means, I assume, full of other rivers. I do not know if there is also hydroelectric capability as well as irrigation.Anonymous
............................................................................................

More than a year ago, a senior Israeli army officer began giving PowerPoint presentations, on an off-the-record basis, to U.S. and other diplomats, journalists and think tanks, setting out the plan for the current operation in revealing detail. Under the ground rules of the briefings, the officer could not be identified.

In his talks, the officer described a three-week campaign: The first week concentrated on destroying Hezbollah's heavier long-range missiles, bombing its command-and-control centers, and disrupting transportation and communication arteries. In the second week, the focus shifted to attacks on individual sites of rocket launchers or weapons stores. In the third week, ground forces in large numbers would be introduced, but only in order to knock out targets discovered during reconnaissance missions as the campaign unfolded. There was no plan, according to this scenario, to reoccupy southern Lebanon on a long-term basis."

http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/articl.../21/ MIDEAST.TMP

I think the plan goes much longer. The main goal is to control the oil wells throughout the Middle East (an as a side effect create the conditions for israeli "Lebensraum" by annihilating most of the palestinians and a lot of syrians and lebanese). Stage 1 was Iraq. Stage 2 is now underways, and will be Iran. Stage 3 will be Saudiarabia and maybe - WWIII. Because I don't believe the other powers will sit still watching this develop for long. The british government is already cooling a little now:

The enormous mistake...we made, is in not explaining to our children and keeping them close to us.
The majority of young people in the U.S. understand next to nothing and the fact that they are usually hundreds of miles away and thousands of light years--makes it impossible to re-create an "anti-war generation".

We and the world, and the U.S. have been hijacked by the Jewish "plan" for us. There is no escape.
You can struggle, you can compare historically similiar events, you can predict..or even WORSE you can read and quote FISK...but it won't help. All I can tell you, is that the EXACT thing happened here when the invasion of Fallujah began--
people disappeared. Their excuse, later, was 'we were really tired after working on the last election'.

Israel building prison for Lebanese captives
Exclusive: IDF starts building detention compound to be used for holding Hizbullah members that will be captured during fighting in north. Officials: Project attests to government's plans for large-scale ground incursion in Lebanon
Sharon Roffe-Ofir, Yediot Ahronot, 07.22.06 - Hanan Greenberg contributed to the report
http://www.ynetnews.com/ articles...3279762,00.html

Preparing for an extended ground operation: The IDF has started constructing a temporary detention center designed to hold the Lebanese prisoners that will be captured during army operations in Southern Lebanon, Ynet has learned recently. A truck convoy carrying barbed-wire fences, containers, and mobile showers and toilets started unloading equipment at the Filon military base near Rosh Pina Friday, and construction works at the place are already underway. According to plans, the structure should be able to hold up to hundreds of Hizbullah prisoners at any given time. The fact that the army was granted special permission from the Chief Military Rabbinate to continue with construction works throughout Saturday attests to the urgency attributed to the project. Army sources told Ynet that the decision to build the detention center followed an earlier decision taken this week to call up reserve brigades and launch preparations for a ground offensive deep inside Lebanese territory in the near future.

According to the officials, the initial plan was to erect the compound near the Koach Junction using an old structure which dates back to the days of the British Mandate and which is currently in use by the Border Guard police. However, as the place is limited in size, the army later decided to locate the new prison at the larger Filon base. The detention center will be based on the model of previous prisons built in Israel such as Ktziot in the south and the Ofer base in Jerusalem. During the Lebanon War, thousands of Lebanese detainees were incarcerated at the al-Hiyam prison located in Lebanese territory. Defense officials explained to Ynet that setting up a detention center on such a scale is proof of the Israeli government's plans for an extensive operation that may last for months.

Gravatar It is amazing how this came about.
After watching the total annilation of Iraq--they must have spent many weeks and months--thinking of how to get themselves into a winning mode.

Now attacking a small country with practically no arm or anti-aircraft or anything--with high tech. bombers-
This is just what they needed.
A "new front".(WWII talk).

The intellectuals can discuss the terrible bad fortune of the Lebanese as being the chosen victim.
Its all propaganda.
Iraq went so badly.
Lets try a little weaker country this time.

The even more amazing thing is that the American "viewers" and CNN are getting this packaged as the same enemy,,,with a little different name.

BUT ITS "OUR" ENEMY.
I does seem that Israel is trying to get the jump on all the fantastic money and endless chaos (not to mention political power) that the
War in Iraq created.

But LOOK HOW IT TURNED OUT!

Defense Minister Amir Peretz said Sunday that Israel would agree to the deployment of a multi-national force in Lebanon. "Due to the weakness of the Lebanese army, we support the deployment in the south [of Lebanon] of a multi-national force with broad authority," Peretz said. Following a morning meeting with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Peretz said the force would be from NATO and added that also act to prevent weapons smuggling from Syria into Lebanon. Peretz also noted Israel has no intention of entering into a war with Syria.

One thing all religious types have in common is a sort of fatalism. However, I must admit that my own gurus are prone to this too. They argue that, contrary to the view of the secularists that the world is constantly 'progressing', it is actually degenerating. Either way, the idea that there is a long term trend makes one fatalistic about the chances of bucking it.
