In
the beginning was the Word
re
Operation Cast Lead, Gaza.
In
the beginning was the Word,
The
Word was
A
word you have now lost
It
fumes in our minds
Over
your cowardice Israel.
The
fire in the mind
The
impulse of sacrifice that is open
To
the perceptions of all.
A
child stands in an open street
With
the weapon in his hand
An
innocent child, hot headed,
His
only weapon may be that one stone
Of
which you can never lose your fear .
He,
this child, cast the stone;
Under
fire from your shells,
Tungsten,
phosphorous, that rains down
You
may reel as the wind rises among
Those
you thought to control .
The
wind of the minds fumes
Rises
beyond your military grasp.
A
bird of the human mind eludes you
Because
you cannot control
Through
the Word . The Word is lost
As
fools nod there among you.
No
simple people
Believe
that space is truth - as an egg
Roles
among you breaking yolk.
All
those cambered wavelengths
Of
the word
On
the curving lip of sound
Have
no more secrets.
Yesterday.
A
name died.
I
see absence among you,
As
the groin throbs with impotence.
Today
I
see absence among you
As
the heart flagellates the blood.
Tomorrow
I
see absence among you.
Forever
As
the wind brings your heavy vowels
Of
painful cowardice
Between
you and any escape.
A
jew imprisoned by nothing
A
jew the object of all absence
A
jew must learn to know
A
beam
Without
echo was cast
Over
the wavelength and as lead
Rests
as lead does, impotent forever
On
the earths surface.
